STONE SOUP PUBLICATION AGREEMENT
Grant of Rights. The Author, and the Parent on the Author's behalf, grant to Stone Soup a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform the Work, in whole or in part, in any language and in any medium now known or later developed, including but not limited to print, digital, audio, and video formats.
Author Retains Copyright. The Author retains copyright in the Work. Nothing in this Agreement limits the Author's right to publish the Work elsewhere, to include it in collections of the Author's own work, or to exercise any other rights of copyright not expressly granted to Stone Soup here.
Sublicensing. Stone Soup shall have the right to authorize, license, or sublicense third parties — including but not limited to textbook publishers, anthology editors, educational institutions, and translators — to reproduce, publish, distribute, or otherwise use the Work, in whole or in part, on terms Stone Soup determines in its sole discretion. Revenue derived from such third-party licenses shall be retained by Stone Soup in support of its nonprofit mission.
Credit. Stone Soup will credit the Work to the Author in the format given name followed by family name, and if you provide it, your name in your home language. Stone Soup may note the Author's age, grade, country, or city of residence alongside the credit.
Editorial Changes. Stone Soup may copy-edit the Work for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and house style, and may format the Work for layout. Substantive edits affecting the meaning of the Work will be made only with the Author's consent.
Warranties. The Author and Parent warrant that: (a) the Work is the Author's original creation; (b) the Work has not been plagiarized and does not infringe any other person's copyright, privacy, or other rights; (c) the Parent or Guardian has full legal authority to enter into this Agreement on the Author's behalf.
No Compensation; Contributor Copies. This Agreement is entered into without expectation of payment to the Author.
Governing Law. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.
Entire Agreement. This is the complete agreement between the parties regarding the Work and supersedes any prior understanding.
