Submit here photographs, drawings, paintings, or any other visual work you have made.

Please include a portrait of yourself alongside the work.

Lighting matters more than anything else — more than your camera, more than file size. A thoughtfully lit phone photo looks beautiful on the page; a high-resolution photo taken in bad light does not. Photograph your work in indirect daylight. Near a window on a cloudy day is ideal. Never use flash. Keep direct sunlight off the work.

For photographs: send the original file from your camera or phone. Don't resize it.

For drawings and paintings: lay the work flat on a table. For a wet painting or a large canvas, lean it gently against a wall. Hold your phone parallel to the work, fill the frame, and take several shots — send the clearest one. Avoid shadows from your hand or phone.

Any phone made in the last ten years has plenty of resolution. Larger files are better if you have them, so your work can be reproduced well in print as well as on screen.

A recording (welcome but not required): an audio recording of the piece performed, a software-rendered audio file, or a MIDI file — whichever is most appropriate for your piece.
