Frederick Ouseley (1825-1889) was a British musician and composer. He specialized in church music. He started writing music when he was three -- his sister transcribed those first pieces. A couple hundred pages of early manuscripts exist and I am hopeful that I can get a copy of them. They are at the Bodleian in Oxford, UK.

Here is a PDF of Frederick Ouseley's March, 1883, written when he was six. And here is a PDF of other early pieces by Ouseley.

We would love to publish a recording of this music. If you play the piano and can play the piece -- age is not an issue in this case -- then please do and send it us. You can upload it at our normal submission location. Use the category for young musicians. Adults are welcome to record.  This call for recordings will be left up until we have one.
