Fall Night

Elizabeth R. Herndon

I gaze at the fall night skyI lie down in the cold grassClose my eyesBreathing slowlyI imagine I am a falling leafI float in twirl in the slow breezeI open my eyes stand up I lookAround and all I see are bareTrees and fallen leavesI lie back down and stare at theFall night sky
