Fox

Jessica Xu

Where have you seen the fox?In the bushes, hiding.I saw a foxAs red as bloodCarrying aLimp rabbit.

Its teeth were sharpAnd bared,Its ears were alert,And its whiskers twitched. Its fur felt like scarlet snowAnd its tail swung intently.

When I was walking by,The fox stared at meWith its beady midnight eyes,And scurried away,Leaving meGazing in its wake.
