Free Waters

Lillian Power

I wish the world could see me nowThe waves are lightThe winds are softI left my army up on landDefenseless, I stand

Whispers inside my headWhat I never thought would ever endI close my eyes, I listen

My costume gone, I leave the earthI set my coat on a hookThe whispers never hold me nowA clear voice has found me somehowI listen, I follow

I never want to see tomorrowWhen whispers will come back againAnd my feet will rest upon the landThey say that it is safer thereBut I am not scared of the waters
