Just One

Analise Braddock

No more thanone soul

Scattered theEarthJust one

No more thanone hasbeen foundOn searchfor more

Just one mindCompared tothe nights’thousand minds

Every light a souland a mind aBrightbloomingstar

I don’t havemore thanone

I don’t havemore thanone mouth,one mind,one soul

Some havemany I seeThey walk along

TalkingTo themselvesAnd askingIn the reflectionOf the lake“How do I look?”They wait for an answer“Perfect as always”They walk withTheir many mindsAnd a thousand eyesHolding aThousand soulsWhile I walkWith oneOne soulOne mindOne heartOne set of eyesOne onlyJust one.
