Moonlight

Sofie Dardzinski

My gentle fingers landed on the heavy stringsas I saw the round circlesspiraling around the shining strings

The golden light entered the darkness of the roomas my thumb pricked the chilling string

My hands switched rapidly to thenext strings as I started to play asweet song, high notes and low notesechoing throughout the room

All the light faded away from sightand the sad low notes mixed with the happy onesThe rhythm of the music wrapped around melike a quilt as all the notes connected and began to createthe song that glowed inside meThe music flowed in bouncy vibrating wavesuntil I didn’t think about playing music at all on my elegant guitarI just let the glowing music play outof my mind and of my heart.
