A carpet of sand melts into a sea of blue whipped creamI inhale the golden scent of joyLike syrup on my tongueThe seagulls’ voices are wind chimes in the warmsummer airThey call to the sea and the skyI reach out my fingers to touch the sunsetAnd wrap it around my shoulders like a coat
