Ocean Beat

Ava Persinger

I can hear waves crashinglike drums. As they hitthe strip of sandthey leave behind a little crab. The tiny musicianclaps his claws togetherwith such a tiny clickthat no one but I can hear it.Every piece of wind and sanddancing in rhythm to the salty sprayof the ocean. Shells and tiny pebblesgo clink, clinkway down at the depths of the sea.No onecan hear itbut me.
