The Lion & the Lizard

Isley T. Bloom

A rose is as delicate as the wind,While however,A lion is fearlessIt keeps its ground,Rooted like a tree,And when it roars,The dirt floorRumbles beneath

But sometimesIt’s hardTo beFearless

A lizard is quickButRuns from youA lizard isAwareBut afraidQuietBut camouflagedThe thing about lizardsIs thatThey can regrowAnd start overTheir tailAnd theirTaleA lionRough as a vineTough as timeWill stand its ground
