The Nature Walk

Tanay Kumta

I shut the door behind meExasperated and overwhelmedAnd start walking brisklyAs I walkI hear crickets chirping like a marching bandI hear leaves crunching under meSoothing me over my bad day at schoolI feel the cool, fresh air across my faceAs I walk forwardI smell the sweet smell of the nighttime dewJust like after a rainy dayI slowly inch forward daydreamingFeeling like I am on the top of the worldI cannot describe itIt is simply the feeling of a nature walk
