A Very Unhappy Valentine’s Day

Flowers wilt in the winter air,

Cupid shoots hate arrows making people glare

Teddy bears without heads fly through the sky

bouncing off the kids not knowing why

Instead of eating candy, kids eat bugs and beetles

Instead of sewing gifts, they give their classmates needles

Adults tell each other, Never be my Valentine,

I wish you were never mine

Hearts that are broken litter the ground,

eating up the sunshine all around
