When you rememberThe long night that passed by youThere may be a hint of a sceneA recollection of a momentWarped and disfiguredWonderful or horrifyingOnly playing out in your mind

This clue may be shortIt may continue to a storyA twisted stream of eventsWhere nothing ever gets done

Or you might wake upBelieving it still to be one instant after you fell asleepAnd yet time ticks byYour tossing and turning the only keeper of itYour dreams the only memories of the night
