My Grandfather’s Words

Kira Householder

One day we were riding in the carTalking about his workHe speaks so deeply about everythingHas a philosophical point of view.

Talks to me like an adultAs if I understandThe amount of wood needed to construct a frameAnd how business works.

Nonetheless, I listenAnd do so very intentlyFor I love to hear the sound of his words that are not onlySoft and gentle and beautifulBut have lessons hidden beneath them.
