Daily Creativity #66 | Flash Contest: Write a Story Told Through Correspondence

Some of the earliest novels were written in the form of letters between characters. Try writing a story as a series of text messages, group chats, emails, letters or postcards exchanged between at least two characters.

    • The whole story should be told through letters, text messages etc. We are thinking along the lines of epistolary novels like Lady Susan by Jane Austen (1871) or the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis (1942), where the entire narrative is told in the exchanges between the characters.
There is also a very nice example of this on the Stone Soup website, amongst the winners of one of our previous flash contests: take a look at Enni Harlan’s entry on this page.
