My name is Blandine Mulenga. I am seventeen years old, and I Iive in Nakivale Refugee Settlement. I come from Democratic Republic of Congo. I am a primary student, storyteller, writer, hairdresser, and also a poultry keeper. My story is about the challenges I have faced because of poverty.

This interview is a collaboration between Elite Humanitarian Service Team and Stone Soup Magazine @stonesoup5635 Through the sociality of the story participants participated in a 6 months training in storytelling, anthropology and narrative where they attended sessions, had peer mentorships and wrote stories published by the Otherwise Magazine and Stone Soup Magazine
